In fabrication, every gate is galvanised, quality-checked, and powder-coated for exceptional durability and protection against the elements. Our Quality Promise ensures a long-lasting, low-maintenance product.
For wooden and aluminium gates that we don’t produce in-house, we collaborate with trusted industry experts, guaranteeing high-quality results. Our mild steel gates are crafted in-house from premium materials sourced from reliable suppliers.
Our Quality Promise
At Concept Metalcraft, all our mild steel gates undergo a Hot Dip Galvanizing process to ensure long-lasting protection against corrosion, providing you with peace of mind and a product that’s easy to maintain.
The process begins with a thorough chemical cleaning to remove rust, oil, and mill scale from the steel’s surface. Once cleaned and rinsed, the steel is dipped into a bath of molten zinc, heated to approximately 460°C (860°F). This creates a metallurgical bond between the zinc coating and the steel. After cooling in a quench tank, the steel is ready for the next stage.
Following galvanising, your gate is prepared for Polyester Powder Coating (PPC), an advanced alternative to liquid paint. PPC offers a hard, smooth, and corrosion-resistant finish, ideal for external applications like gates. Available in a wide range of colours, it not only enhances durability but also adds a refined aesthetic.
The solvent-free powder is electrostatically applied directly to the metal surface and then cured in an oven at temperatures between 150-200°C. This process ensures a seamless, long-lasting finish that’s perfectly suited for architectural structures.
